    The role will involve executive engagement, negotiating, drafting, and analyzing a wide variety of transactions including commercial and strategic legal matters, retail sales, finance, supplier and IT agreements with both local and multinational clients and suppliers in the region as well working collaboratively with other departments of the company.

    The incumbent should have first class legal ability coupled with a practical commercial approach, excellent drafting and communication skills and enjoy being part of a friendly outgoing team. The role must also have exceptional results throughout academic history. The position should demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills and a high level of commercial awareness.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Draft, review and vet commercial agreements, including IT agreements, agreements with service providers, sophisticated business deals and third-party supplier agreements
    • Provide legal opinions on possible legal aspects arising out of the different commercial matters engaged in by the Company e.g., customers, suppliers, vendors, contractors etc. with a view to protecting the Company’s rights, minimizing its liability, and where required, reaching amicable settlements in line with management’s discretion.
    • Provide legal advice and assistance to the management.
    • Provide professional legal consultation to the Company’s Management and all Departments and prepare memos with recommendations and actions to be undertaken, for all legal matters raised.
    • Prepare all types of legal documents, agreements, but not limited to Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs), service agreements, consulting agreement, agency agreements and legal templates relating to the Company.
    • Resolve conflicts resulting from contract management and follow up on the status and progress of court cases, if any, that lead to verdicts, and orders to be executed.
    • Research and prepare relevant legal documentation, under supervision of senior colleagues, to support and manage external counsel.
    • Draft documents on legislation related to the Company to ensure that relevant and up-to-date information on legislation is always available to all relevant stakeholders.
    • Perform legal research on legislation relevant to the Company to stay up to date on all relevant legislation.
    • Liaise and maintain strong relations with various external stakeholders such as regulators and governmental authorities.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
    • At least 6 plus years of relevant experience as a commercial and corporate lawyer with exposure to different aspects of law.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Law
    • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) in English
    • Good communication skills
    • Able to work independently.
    • Preferably common law qualified and with UAE onshore legal experience
    • Professional legal Certifications
    • Experience in corporate governance
